Installation instructions:
Idler Cap Installations:
Remove OEM cap and allow to completely drain. To get a complete drain, the hub plug needs to be down to allow a complete drain of hub cavity.
Clean the face of hub, removing any cork gasket that may be stuck to it.
Install K-9343-IGE(gasket) and cap to hub.
Secure with washers (K5161 flat washer) and bolts
Torque bolts around evenly, then again to 40-45 inch pounds.
Fill cavity with manufactures recommended oil. Hub idler oil capacity is 14 ounces. Reinstall plug.
MidRoller Cap Installations:
Remove OEM cap and allow to completely drain.
Place part #K-237-R OR (o-ring) into o-ring groove on part #K9340-R (roller cap).
Apply a small amount of oil to o-ring and insert into roller.
Put washers on bolts; additional bolts are provided in the kit to allow for 6 bolt installation. (Part #K-820-HHCS)
Torque bolts to 85 inch pounds.
Fill roller cavity with OEM recommended oil. Roller oil capacity is 10 ounces.
Install K-1215-P (plug).
Tighten with plug wrench.
Use only soap and water to clean caps, no solvents (solvents can cause clouding and premature failure of caps. Solvent use will void warranty)(cite)
